Black Forest Smoothie

Kick start your day with a smoothie packed full of protein, fats, antioxidants, magnesium and adaptogens!! Our smoothie is made with berries, cacao, cashew butter and Mother Made AM blend. To help with cognitive function, energy and to support your immunity.

Ingredients
  • ½ frozen banana
  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries
  • ¼ cup plant-based milk
  • 1 Tbsp cashew butter
  • 2 tsp chia seeds
  • 2 tsp cacao
  • 1 tsp Mother Made AM blend
  • 1 dried dates (optional)
  • 1 scoop protein powder (optional)

Toppings

  • Hemp seeds
  • Cacao nibs
  • Cashews
Method
  1. Add all the ingredients to a high-speed blender, blend till smooth and similar to an ice cream texture.
  2. Pour into a bowl and top with hemp seeds, cashews and cacao nibs.

  • Using frozen bananans and berries is what makes this smoothie super thick and creamy. If you’re using an un-frozen banana you can add 1/2 a cup of ice to get it to a similar consistency.
  • If your blender isn’t super powerful you might need to add a little more liquid, this will make it more of a traditional smoothie consistency but still delicious.
Variations
  • You can add in a handful of spinach for a nutritional boost.
  • Any nut butter works well.
  • If you like things a little sweeter we recommend adding in the dried date.
