Maple, Cinnamon and Tahini Granola

Homemade granola is incredibly easy to make plus it's cheaper and better for you than store-bought which often has lots of sugar, additives, and preservatives.

Under 30 minutes
  • 2 cups coconut chips
  • 1 cup rolled oats or buckwheat groats
  • 1 cup mixed nuts (roughly chopped)
  • 1/2 cup seeds
  • 3 Tbsp coconut oil or butter
  • 2-3 Tbsp maple syrup or raw honey
  • 2 Tbsp tahini or any nut butter
  • 1 heaped tsp cinnamon
  • A dash of vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt

  1. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees celsius.
  1. In a small saucepan melt together the coconut oil, maple syrup and tahini then add the cinnamon, vanilla and sea salt.
  1. Place the nuts, seeds, coconut and rolled oats into a large bowl and pour over the melted coconut oil mixture.
  1. Give it a really good stir to make sure everything is covered.
  1. Pop on a lined baking tray and allow to cook for 15-20 minutes until golden (keep a close eye on it as the coconut burns easily).

  2. Allow to cool completely before putting the into an airtight container.

Delicious with fresh fruit and yoghurt or coconut yoghurt. On top of smoothie bowls or out of the jar for a little snack.

  • You can use any nuts and seeds you like. We used a mix of cashews
  • You can also use any nut butter if you don't have tahini on hand.
